1st Quarter Honores
1st Quarter Honores

On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, the campus of Mobile County Training School was abuzz with the exciting news about the Honor Roll Assembly scheduled for 8:30 A.M.  Parents received personalized invitations to ensure their presence as forty-nine students were honored by the faculty, staff, and student body.

Before awards were bestowed on the hard-working Whippets of Mobile County Training School, two ambassadors from Vigor High School, Nygel Shamburger and Kaishiah Rowe spoke words of encouragement over our middle school students.  Of the attending students, eight students were perfect in attendance for the first quarter, and fifteen young ladies and gentlemen received distinction for Most Improved in their core classes.  While twenty two students achieved A and B Honor Roll, four students raised the bar by achieving A Honor Roll status.  After all homeroom teachers paraded their respective students across the stage to receive their certificates, the cheerleader sponsor, Ms. Kendra A. Cook, gave each cheerleader a gift for faring so well academically.  She was so excited that these young ladies were setting themselves apart as scholar athletes on our campus.

The program sponsor, Mrs. Alberta White, awarded the students with a special gift bag from the principal, Rashad B. Stallworth.  Before returning to class, the award recipients attended a brunch in their honor. Way to go, Whippets!
